MDOT intends to utilize a Design-Build-Finance-Maintain (DBFM) contracting method to construct the third segment of the I-75 Modernization Project. Segment 3 is located north of 13 Mile Road and runs to 8 Mile Road in the Cities of Madison Heights, Royal Oak, Hazel Park, Oakland County (approximately 5.5 miles in length).

Segment 3 will include the addition of the HOV/ general purpose lane to 12 Mile Road, reconstruction of the existing freeway lanes, replacement of 28 structures (13 Mile Road, 12 Mile Road, 11 Mile Road, 10.5 Mile Road, Red Run Drain, Dallas Avenue, Gardenia Road, Myers Road, Harry Avenue, John R Road, 9 Mile Road SB turn ramp, Woodward Heights Boulevard, Shevlin Avenue) including six pedestrian structures, drainage improvements and incorporating community developed aesthetic improvements; among other work.

WT provided a full suite of pre-bid due diligence services to the successful proponent which includes a review of the commercial structure, cost, schedule, maintenance and overall technical solution for the Project.

Our team will subsequently be providing ongoing monitoring services throughout the construction period inclusive of monthly payment and schedule verification.
