The Region of Peel has renovated a former two-story hotel in Mississauga to now provide emergency family shelter. The building comprises 60 units, housing 225 people. The Peel Family Shelter is supported by both the Region of Peel and the Salvation Army and will house a 24/7 program that provides emergency housing for homeless families in the Region of Peel.

WT provided Project Monitoring services on the renovation of the Peel Family Shelter for the Region of Peel. During the construction phase, WT’s commitment included conducting weekly site visits to provide real-time insights. These visits culminated in delivering comprehensive site review reports, offering a comprehensive assessment of progress, quality, and adherence to project standards. Every month, WT provided expertise in pricing assessments for anticipated changes and deficiencies. Monthly reports provided a holistic overview of project developments, including any updates to the detailed baseline schedule resulting from updated schedules shared by the Construction Manager. Furthermore, a meticulous evaluation of potential delays were carried out, allowing for proactive mitigation measures.
