Our Project Delivery team support clients during the construction phase to help deliver projects which meet their corporate objectives.

We provide leadership and independent representation fulfilling roles such as CM for Fee, Independent Certifier and Owner’s Representative.

Current market conditions, evolving procurement methods and dynamic client requirements are placing greater emphasis on the need for agile, multi-skilled managers and cost control professionals on projects, rather than traditional reactive management and cost reporting. To meet this need, we provide a flexible, innovative and highly professional service with a bench of Qualified Project and Cost Managers.

We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver excellence across the board and, in order to achieve this, the services we offer are both diverse and flexible. Our Project Delivery services can be deployed either individually or collectively with another WT advisor service, allowing us to tailor our approach perfectly to suit our client’s requirements, delivering a truly bespoke package.

Our Project Delivery team is headed by former quantity surveyors who have diversified and developed into leaders who can successfully manage the delivery of projects.

Our commercial awareness has provided the ability to efficiently determine key project objectives and requirements. This combined with first rate communication and leadership skills has enabled us to manage teams that are 100% delivery focused and clear on expectations. This has been the basis of the successful relationships which we have built with national, commercially focused clients.

Recent changes in procurement/delivery methods have seen an increase in the requirement for an Independent Certifier and/or Payment Certifier.

An Independent Certifier / Payment Certifier is someone jointly appointed by the two parties of a contract/deed/agreement for lease to provide critical expertise during the construction phase of a project to ensure compliance with the project brief/contractual obligation and provide dispute resolution services where required. WT provides at a minimum;

  • Inspect and monitor the work, attend any performance testing during commissioning, and advise the private party if any rectification is required;
  • Certify that the construction phase has been successfully completed in compliance with the contract;
  • Report if the project is going to finish on schedule;
  • Issue an informed decision on any disputes that both parties may need for clarification; and
  • Issue a completion certificate as contractual evidence that the construction phase is complete and the project is available for the operations phase;

Our experienced Project Delivery Team’s point of difference is a particular focus on independence of advice, specialisation of skills and professional integrity, ensuring an impartial and objective resolution through valuation and analysis of project costs and project delivery. Our collaborative team of in-house expertise will help smooth what can be a fairly stressful and expensive process into one that respects all parties interests but fairly interprets the contract requirements.

Our strategic asset planning and management approach means we are able to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate projects on an international level.

Our Project Controls team expertly develops, implements and maintains cost control measures to ensure budget monitoring and expenditure forecasting aren’t overlooked. We provide project controls management, including baseline schedule development and management, performance status and reporting and change control protocols. Coupled with our solid experience is our technical expertise and familiarity with procedures which allows us to collaboratively work with clients to control the financial results, identify risks and mitigate appropriately.

Construction Management-for-Fee (CM-4-Fee) services are increasingly in demand from clients across the United States.

WT’s CM approach centers on a client outcome focused approach to project management.  It fuses our core commercial skills with a robust approach to taking responsibility for delivering projects on-time and on-budget.  The service aligns closely to our extensive portfolio of Quantity Surveying work internationally where WT takes fiscal responsibility for end-to-end delivery.

In this market, our CM approach encompasses a diverse mix of resources supported with tried and tested tools, including:

  • Pre-construction budget advice
  • Constructability review
  • Scheduling and construction logistics planning
  • Public bid, market sounding and bid levelling
  • Construction phase project management
  • Contract, document and budget management
  • Design review and management
  • Commissioning and project close-out
