The project involved the development of a new seven-storey, 164-bed acute care regional hospital facility. The new hospital enhances and expand the scope of clinical services previously provided by the existing Western Memorial hospital. Now including inpatient, mental health inpatient, maternity, interventional, ambulatory care, emergency, cancer care, medical imaging, and lab facilities.
WT provided Independent Certifier services in support of the construction period in relation to the Design, Building, Finance and Maintenance of the project. Scope of work included consulting with the Design-Builder, conducting inspections of the construction, provide monthly reports, review and comment on deficiencies, and issue certificates of completion.
WT continues to build upon it’s growing North American P3 Advisory portfolio, acting in the role of Independent Certifier on the project, in concert with the winning Corner Brook Healthcare Partnership consortium (listed below) and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador:
