The first full team training walk started ambitiously with a 30 km night walk on Friday, 17 April 2015. Departing North Sydney at 6 pm we headed to the Spit.

We hit the Spit to Manly trail at 7.15 pm, headlamps on, quick fuel stop and on we marched through the blackness, surprisingly passing no other walkers. At the half way point, we stopped to admire the view, ha!

We arrived at Manly wharf at 9.15 pm

Tim Hartley and Charles Ridout headed home whilst the rest of us pressed on to South Manly surf club, up to Queenscliff across to Manly Vale and back to Cremorne and North Sydney arriving home at 11.50 pm, 2,000 calories burnt and 30 kms travelled.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help people living in poverty. Although the training is on track, fundraising is lagging.
