Okanagan College undertook a transformative student housing programme to provide purpose-built accommodation across its campuses in Kelowna, Vernon, Salmon Arm, and Penticton. The initiative was designed to enhance the student experience by increasing access to safe, modern, and convenient on-campus housing, strengthening campus communities throughout the Okanagan region. Collectively, the four developments provide accommodation for an additional 623 students, significantly expanding access to on-campus housing across the Okanagan region.
Delivering Financial Oversight Across a Multi-Campus Programme
WT provided Cost Management & Quantity Surveying services, including cost estimating and independent payment certification. In addition, WT served as Payment Certifier across the broader Okanagan College student housing programme, supporting the successful delivery of residence developments in Kelowna, Vernon, Salmon Arm, and Penticton.
WT’s involvement provided financial transparency, accountability, and consistency throughout project delivery, ensuring construction progress and associated payments were independently assessed in accordance with project requirements. Through its programme-wide role, WT helped support the successful delivery of 623 new student beds while maintaining rigorous financial oversight across all four campuses.
