New St. Paul’s Hospital Achieves Service Commencement

Vancouver, BC – WT has certified Service Commencement for the New St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia, marking a major milestone for the largest hospital redevelopment project in the province’s history.

The new 11-storey, 548 bed hospital represents the largest hospital redevelopment project in British Columbia’s history. The hospital will provide expanded emergency, surgical, critical care, mental health, maternity and community healthcare services for generations to come.

As Independent Certifier for this landmark healthcare project, WT provided independent oversight, progress monitoring and payment certification throughout the delivery phase, working closely with project stakeholders to support contractual compliance and successful project outcomes.

Service Commencement represents a significant achievement for the project team and reflects years of collaboration, planning and execution. New St. Paul’s Hospital is expected to open to patients in 2027.

WT congratulates Providence Health Care, PCL, the design and construction teams, and all project partners who contributed to delivering this landmark healthcare facility for communities across British Columbia.
