The West Santa Ana Branch Transit Corridor is a transformative 19-mile light rail project aimed at enhancing connectivity between Southeast Los Angeles County and Downtown Los Angeles.
The corridor will serve multiple communities, including Artesia, Cerritos, Bellflower, Paramount, Downey, South Gate, Cudahy, Bell, Huntington Park, Vernon, unincorporated Florence-Firestone, and Downtown Los Angeles. By integrating these areas into Metro’s rail network, the project seeks to provide viable alternatives to driving and improve access to opportunities for residents.
WT provided comprehensive real estate advisory services for this project, including a value capture options analysis. Our work supported Metro’s efforts in exploring funding strategies to bridge the project’s financial gap, which included considerations for public-private partnerships and value capture mechanisms.
