South Niagara Hospital is a significant healthcare investment for the region, improving the patient and caregiver experience and strengthening access to local services.
The new hospital will have 469 beds, 8 operating suites, and 42 hemodialysis stations. It will specialize in complex care, wellness in aging, and strokes. Teaching and research are also a core focus of the hospital, along with ambulatory and day procedure programs and services. The project was designed and is being built to achieve LEED Silver standards.
WT is providing Independent Certifier services to the South Niagara Hospital P3 project delivered under the Design, Build, Finance, and Maintain (DBFM) model. As a neutral third party jointly appointed by the Project Co and the Owner, WT monitors construction progress, certifies monthly payments, conducts site inspections, tracks deficiencies, issues Substantial Completion and Financial Completion certificates, and facilitates clear communication between stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance and successful project delivery.
