WT provided comprehensive cost estimating services to the Port of Seattle under an on-call Cost Estimating IDIQ, supporting projects managed by the Capital Development division at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
Based full-time on-site, WT’s services include developing conceptual through detailed estimates using the Port’s standard templates, preparing cost estimates with unit and rate-based methodologies, and applying standard mathematical factors to ensure consistent forecasting.
WT also performed material take-offs, scope reviews, and detailed third-party cost estimate evaluations at key design milestones (15%, 30%, 60%, 90%, and 100%), including final Engineer’s Estimates for bidding purposes. Additional responsibilities have included synthesizing historical cost data, supporting the Port’s Job Order Contracting (JOC) program, and integrating seamlessly with the Port’s existing project controls teams to enhance schedule and budget alignment across a range of aviation infrastructure projects.
