The Ontario Line project is Toronto’s largest and most complex transportation project to date. The project sees a 15.6 km rapid transit line connecting Exhibition Place to Eglinton Crosstown LRT at Don Mills Road, adding 15 new stations to the city. The transit system will feature a combination of tunnelled and elevated sections, along with maintenance and storage facilities for subway vehicles, as well as transit connections to existing GO train services, subways, buses, and streetcar routes.

WT provided cost estimate peer review services for this major infrastructure project. This included preparing a cost estimate peer review report and developing the Class 4 cost estimate peer review. Scope of services involved weekly touchpoint and reconciliation meetings, peer review of cost estimates against schematic and preliminary design information, benchmarking, review of cost allowances, assessment of indirect costs and general requirements, variance analysis, validation of unit rates, and identification of scope, interface issues, duplication, and gaps across separate procurement contracts.
