The new St. Paul’s Hospital and integrated health campus is the most extensive hospital redevelopment in the history of British Columbia. The project is being delivered through a Design-Build model. Designed with a patient-centred approach, the hospital is double the size of the existing site. With 550 beds, the new 11-storey hospital will include a new emergency department, surgical and interventional services, a critical care unit, a maternal newborn unit and birthing suites, outpatient services, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, and community care and outreach programs.
WT provided a full suite of pre-bid due diligence services to one of the shortlisted proponents. WT is currently providing Independent Certifier services throughout the construction phase of the Design, Build, Finance project. As a neutral third party jointly appointed by the Project Co and the Owner, WT monitors construction progress, certifies monthly payments, conducts site inspections, tracks deficiencies, issues Substantial Completion and Financial Completion certificates, and facilitates clear communication between stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance and successful project delivery.
