As part of a comprehensive $1 billion initiative to modernize healthcare delivery in Lower Manhattan, Mount Sinai Health System developed a new 8-story, 70-bed inpatient hospital at 310 East 14th Street.
This state-of-the-art facility features all-private inpatient rooms, advanced cardiac and neurological interventional services, modern operating rooms and a full-service emergency department. The new hospital is designed to integrate seamlessly with the adjacent New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, enhancing coordinated care across specialties.
WT provided comprehensive cost management services throughout the project’s development, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) cost estimating during the schematic design (SD), design development (DD), and construction document (CD) phases. Our team conducted value engineering exercises, design team reviews, and reconciliations with pre-construction general contractor estimates to ensure budget adherence and value optimization.
