WT provided cost management services for the LAX Midfield Satellite Concourse (MSC) South, a two-story, 150,000-square-foot expansion designed to add eight gates for narrow-body aircraft such as the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families.

The new concourse will connect to the existing MSC North and the Tom Bradley International Terminal, enhancing operational capacity and improving the passenger experience by reducing reliance on remote gates.

The project features an innovative Offsite Construction and Relocation (OCR) approach, building the concourse in nine segments offsite and transporting them 1.5 miles for final assembly—minimizing airfield disruption and accelerating delivery.

Designed by Woods Bagot, MSC South targets LEED Silver certification and integrates sustainable features like an exterior brise soleil system, reinforcing LAX’s commitment to sustainability and architectural excellence.
