Toronto, ON — WT Partnership (WT) has been selected as the Independent Certifier by Infrastructure Ontario (IO) for the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Phase 1D Redevelopment Project under the P3 delivery model.
Centre for addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. Through the multi-phase transformation of its Queen Street West site, CAMH is turning what was once a walled institution into an inclusive, respectful, and dignified campus that helps break down stigma and better address the unique mental health needs of patients.
CAMH’s forensic mental health program currently operates out of an old, institutional building that was not built for modern concepts of forensic health care. Phase 1D includes the construction of a new building (the Secure Care and Recovery building) to support CAMH’s forensics services.
WT is thrilled to be a part of the next and final phase of this vital infrastructure development, having previously supported Phase 1C of the CAMH project in the role of Independent Certifier. The firm’s involvement with CAMH continues to build on WT’s extensive healthcare portfolio across Canada.
