WT was engaged by Victoria University to provide full post contract cost management for construction of their new state of the art Exercise Science, Sport Precinct & Learning Commons at their Footscray Park Campus.

The project incorporates a suite of world class, high technology laboratories in five major disciplines underpinning sport and exercise sciences including exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor learning & skilled performance, sport and exercise biochemistry & molecular biology and motor control and biofeedback. The new building features new sports, science and learning commons areas creating 1,300 new learning spaces and seven large scale collaborative teaching spaces.

The project, which was completed in six separate phases, also included refurbishment to four levels of an existing building to create new library and office spaces.

The project team’s work was recognized with Finalist status in the 2012 Property Council Innovation & Excellence Awards Best Public Building category.
