Project Description

Client:

Infrastructure Ontario and Lands Corporation

The Ontario Line Subway is a new rapid transit system that connects the Ontario Science Centre to Exhibition. The Ontario Line Subway is approximately 16 km in length with 15 stations. Over half of the route is in a tunnel and served by 8 underground stations. There are six Interchange Stations, connecting to GO Transit services at Exhibition and East Harbour, and to the Toronto Transit Commission subway network at Queen, Osgoode, and Pape Stations, and to the future ECLRT at Science Centre. Stations will also provide connections to surface bus and streetcar routes.

The Ontario Line Subway will be delivered in the following three separate procurement contracts:

  • Rolling Stock, Systems, Operations and Maintenance Contract (RSSOM Project Co)
  • Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel Contract (Project Co)
  • Northern Civil, Stations and Tunnel Contract (North Civil Project Co)

The Contracting Authority will also be contracting with commercial developers, TOC Contractors, to implement a program of Transit Oriented Communities on lands on or adjacent to the Ontario Line Subway.
