As part of an overall strategy by the State of Hawaii to modernize its correctional facilities, the proposed development of the new Oahu Community Correctional Center (“OCCC”) will replace the existing facility which is increasingly aged and in need of modernization. OCCC has been identified as a priority project for The State, to provide a safer, more secure, and more humane environment for the care and custody of offenders originating from the Island of Oahu.

WT Partnership are assisting the Hawaii Department of Accounting and General Services (“DAGS”) and the facilities operator, The Hawaii Department of Public Safety (“DPS”), in managing the OCCC project’s planning and procurement effort. Our role includes providing ongoing advice and guidance on project delivery and financing options which is currently envisaged to be an alternate delivery mechanism involving design / construction / financing and maintenance for the development.
