London Fields Lido, Hackney (UK)

Work to re-open London Fields Lido, which had been closed for nearly two decades, began in November 2005 and was completed in 2007.

Hackney Council funded the re-build to give London its first 50 metre heated outdoor pool.

Hackney was a host borough for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralymic Games. London Fields Lido provided a fantastic facility for local people and aspiring Olympic swimmers.
