Project Description

Meet Kenji

Based: Merced

Graduating with a background in Environmental Engineering, I utilize my technical background synergistically within my current role in advising and management to produce detail-oriented and focused results. Having organizational experience in leadership and mentorship throughout my time in college has aided me in developing as an individual and professional. My journey with WT Partnership began in June of 2018 when I joined the University of California (UC) Merced 2020 Project Team as a Project Management intern. Throughout my internship I learned a great deal about private-public partnership (P3) projects and best practices to implement within management roles, leading me to be highly interested in a career in consulting with hopes of incorporating my environmental knowledge in the future.

Following a brief intermission from WT Partnership to focus on university studies, I was hired as an Advisor in March of 2019 to lead document management and design review for the UC Merced 2020 Project Team. Being an active student on campus gave me the unique perspective of working on my own university’s project where I played a role in ensuring the successful First Delivery of UC Merced’s $1.3 billion 2020 Project. Witnessing the collaboration between individuals of different temperaments, talents, and convictions unified under the common goal of providing state-of-the-art educational and research facilities for individuals in academia is motivating and is what makes me excited to get out of bed every day.

Outside of work my time is spent studying, making music and playing piano, camping with my Australian Cattle Dog, and being with my family and friends.
