The proposed Bradford Bypass is a new 16.2km controlled access freeway. The proposed highway will extend from Highway 400 between 8th Line and 9th Line in Bradford West Gwillimbury, will cross a small portion of King Township and will connect to Highway 404 between Queensville Sideroad and Holborn Road in East Gwillimbury. There are proposed full and partial interchanges, as well as grade separated crossings at intersecting municipal roads and watercourses, including the Holland River and Holland River East Branch. This project will also include the Preliminary Design for the replacement of the 9th Line structure on Highway 400 as a result of the proposed future ramps north of the Bradford Bypass corridor. Controlled access highway, with a divided rural median.

  • Simcoe County Road Widening
  • Simcoe County Road 4 Interchange
  • 9th Line at Hwy 400 Overpass
  • 10th Sideroad Overpass
  • Professional Days Drive Underpass
  • Artesian Industrial Parkway Overpass (& associate commercial/business land acquisition impact)
  • Bathurst Street Diamond/Overpass
  • Yonge Street Overpass
  • 2nd Concession Overpass
  • Leslie Street Diamond/Overpass
  • New structural culverts or rehabilitate existing culvert structures
  • Rehabilitation of existing roads or intersections, but no work to existing structures
  • Retaining, Noise & MSE walls (if applicable)
  • Related utilities relocation; and Signalization and illumination as required
