Aurora stadium is Tasmania’s premier AFL football venue , and provides a seated capacity of 14,000 with an overall venue capacity of 21,000.

The project has been funded and developed in stages with the latest works being the Northern stand redevelopment.

The low bearing pressures of the swampland site coupled with the soaring cantilevered roof forms provided interesting challenges in the design costing stages.

Jointly funded by the Federal Government the new stand was opened by the Prime Minister Julia Gillard on 7 August 2011.

WT Partnership provided estimating and cost planning services.
