CLACKAMAS COUNTY COURTHOUSE REPLACEMENT PROJECT BREAKS NEW GROUND IN OREGON CITY

OREGON CITY, OR — CLACKAMAS COUNTY HOLDS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR THE NEW CLACKAMAS COUNTY CIRCUIT COURTHOUSE (P3) ON FEBRUARY 3RD AT THE PROPOSED PROJECT SITE

WT staff joined Clackamas County, elected officials, and Clackamas Progress Partners to celebrate an important milestone for the project, which will replace the existing courthouse built in 1936 and is no longer fit for it’s intended use. The new Courthouse will ultimately provide the local community with greater access to justice and County resources.

“WT are excited to be standing alongside our client, Clackamas County, at this momentous event,” WT Vice-President Jose Davila commented. “In a time and environment where cities, counties, and local government agencies face difficult fiscal decisions regarding their aging, undersized and functionally obsolete buildings. Clackamas County embraced the P3 model which proved to be the most optimal way to deliver a state-of-the-art facility for their constituents”.

Once completed, the new Courthouse will contain 16 courtrooms and host a number of departments including the Oregon 5th Judicial District Judges, the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office, Department of Human Services, State Office of Public Defense, a portion of the Sheriff’s office for Courthouse operations and more. The Courthouse is anticipated to be ready for occupancy in 2025.
