Press Release
Nova Scotia, Canada – The Highway 104 project in Nova Scotia, Canada has reached Final Completion, marking a major milestone for the province’s infrastructure development. This project stands as a strong example of partnership within the Public-Private Partnership (P3) model, bringing together the Government of Nova Scotia, private sector partners, and expert consultants to deliver a critical upgrade to Canada’s transportation network.
The Highway 104 project involved the construction of a new 10-kilometer 4-lane divided highway, the twinning of 28 kilometers of existing highway, the creation of two new interchanges, and the construction of 24 bridges. The project also included upgrading and repaving an existing 2-lane section to like-new conditions, ensuring improved safety and efficiency for road users across Nova Scotia.
The Final Completion of the Highway 104 project represents a significant achievement for the province, providing improved transportation infrastructure that will support economic growth and enhance road safety for decades to come. The highway’s upgraded design and expanded capacity are expected to benefit both local and long-distance travelers, while also reducing congestion and improving traffic flow.
Now complete, the highway will undergo a 20-year period of operations and maintenance, during which time the infrastructure will be closely monitored to ensure long-term performance for Canada’s growing transportation needs.
